pinterest

one of my "pins"

I've been mildly obsessed with pinterest recently....

For years I've been saving inspiration photos on my computer but I never had a good system for organizing them and I would always forget to add the link or a trackback to them so I could find the source again, if needed. Pinterest has solved all these problems for me and I can easily "pin" a photo I like to one of my boards and it automatically includes the link and will organize it all for me.

Click here to follow my boards {if you like} or to sign up for your own account. I'm just getting started on mine, so there isn't a ton of content up there yet, but there will be soon!

angie hranowsky

I have long admired local Charleston interior designer, Angie Hranowsky. Her stuff is ahhhh-mazing and I would move into any house she has designed in a second. Just knowing she was a local resident was cool enough for me but then yesterday I found myself seated right next to her at the nail place while we were both drying our pedicures. I kind of did a double take because I'd only seen a few photos of her - typically I just see photos of the interiors she's designed. But there I was, totally star struck, just drying my nails.

It's also funny because when I went to her website I realized the header for this blog is very similar to her logo. I don't recall seeing it before I designed this header but maybe I subconsciously had it in the back of my brain as an inspiration piece without even knowing it?

Anyway, here are some photos of her work. Love, love, love all of these!

This is the interior of a wine bar in Charleston called Enoteca....

And I LOVE this living room. Kind of island, kind of modern, but comfy and easy to live in

Love the tile in the kitchen. It has a Moroccan vibe without being overly stylized

This is my all time favorite boys room {which I believe belongs to her son}. That fabric on the window shade was a recent inspiration for a painting I did {it's vintage maramekko fabric, by the way}. Love the blue stripes, love the cowboy print, love the rug and the window shade...

hicks pendant

sketch42
I have been seeing this pendant lamp everywhere in the blog world recently and am completely and totally in love with it. I saw it for the first time on Sketch 42 and I think I literally gasped when I first saw it. I love the nautical influence, large size, heavy chain and despite seeing it all over the place recently, I still think it is a unique light to use in a kitchen. It's certainly not your typical overhead light.

Now if only I had a place to hang it, the hicks pendant and I would be in business....

long time, no post

I'm neglectful, yes. But it's not that I haven't thought about posting....

Regardless, I'm determined to post more regularly in March and beyond. Perhaps not evey day, but frequently, as the inspiration strikes.

So to make up for my neglect, here is a photo of what I think may be my all time favorite interior. You may have seen it around the blogs over the years {it's not new}. I've come across it a million times but always come back to it for the awesome chalkboard wall, drum lights, doors to outside, wide plank hardwood floors, farm table and overall simplicity. There isn't too much going on here and I LOVE that. When you add in the food, people, wine, etc. the space will most certainly help fill it all up.

Calypso St. Barth is teaming up with Tar-jay. May 1st is the release date - just in time for summer. Items in the collection will be priced $1.99 to $79.99 and will include clothing, accessories and home decor.

I am so excited I might go pitch a tent and hang out there right now so I can be the first in line. Ok, well maybe I'll at least wait until mid-April....it is kinda cold right now.

beautiful dressing room

Can you imagine getting dressed in this beautiful space?

I don't think you could have a bad morning if it started out in here. I love how simple it is with pretty details that make it unique. And that wall paper is especially awesome.

my favorite chair

Ah, I am in LOVE with this chair.

I love the texture, natural elements, fun mix of patterns and oh...those nail heads! Plus, it looks relatively comfy and would compliment a slew of decorating styles.

Here it is with a solid cushion....

Only thing I would change is the $2,200 price tag (!?!). *Sigh, a girl can dream....

wonderful

An old roommate of mine is a high-end wedding planner here in Charleston and would always rave about the amazing photos from A Bryan Photo.

Now I can see why. How awesome.

How beautifully awesome. Plus, she's a brave lady to wear her wedding dress in a pool!

I suppose these cool photos made it worth it.
